USEFUL INFORMATION

THE ESSENTIALS

The religious ceremony will be celebrated in the Roman Catholic Church of
St. John the Baptist in the village of Węgra on Saturday
11th of July 2020 at 5:00 PM. We will then head towards the
Bobrowy Dwór venue (situated 40min from Węgra) where your hotel
is also located. You can see those two places on the map below.
All transports on Saturday: Hotel--> Church --> Venue will be provided.

TRANSPORTS

Even if Poland is not exactly at your doorstep, it is definitely not at the end of the world, so no panic!

Below are few tips for the trip to go smoothly:

The prices of the flight tickets are increasing really fast, and there is only a limited number of suitable flights. For this reason we recommend you to book your plane tickets as soon as possible, without waiting to receive the posted wedding invitation

Some recommandations for your choosing flight :

In order to let you some time to prepare before the ceremony, you will need to arrive in Warsaw on Saturday noon the latest.
On Sunday we invite you for a brunch that will take place around noon. We recommend you to not book a return flight leaving before 6:00 PM on Sunday if you want to enjoy the brunch with us. You can also stay for another night in the hotel.
The best solution is probably to arrive on Friday, stay in Warsaw for the night, travel to the venue on Saturday and leave on Sunday evening or Monday.
You can use flight comparison website such as Skyscanner or Kayak to find the best prices

Good to know :

There are 2 airports ("lotnisko" in Polish) in Warsaw :

Chopin/Okecie (WAW), located close to the city centre
Modlin airport (WMI) connected by Ryanair and located 45min north of the city

If you have the choice, we recommend to book a flight for Modlin airport, which is located closer to the venue (around 30 minutes)

To make your life easier, we will rent a minibus and drive you from the airport to the hotel, to the church and to the venue, and drive you back to the airport on Sunday.

This will be confirmed later but there will be two shuttle services to go to the venue/hotel, leaving from Chopin Airport: one on Friday afternoon, the other one on Saturday at noon. The return shuttle will leave on Sunday late afternoon from the venue to Chopin Airport, stopping at Modlin if needed.

You will just have to confirm that you want to use this service when you send your reply to the wedding announcement.

Accommodation

The Reception will take place in the venue that includes a hotel which will be booked for the weekend for our guests. You would be able to drop your belongings and get prepared for the wedding from Saturday morning. We could potentially host our guests on Friday and Sunday evening, but keep in mind that the hotel is located in the middle of the countryside and no shop or entertainment is within walking distance.

The details will be sent to you at a later stage alongside the invite, and you will then be able to let us know if you wish to book a room.

OTHER

Remember to check the expiry date of your National ID or Passport, or you will not be able to board your flight.

You can request a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) in order to benefit from the same health insurance as if you were in your country. It's free but you will need to wait two to three weeks before you receive it.
